Intake Requirements

So how much fluid does the average healthy adult living in a temperate climate need? The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine have determined that an adequate daily fluid intake is: There are vocational and technical training (CTE) courses that can be used to meet all of the specialty requirements listed above. For the complete list of accepted courses, see the University of California Course List Finder. DRI is the umbrella term for a set of reference values used to plan and assess the nutritional intake of healthy people. These values, which vary by age and sex, include: These recommendations include liquids from water, other beverages and food. About 20% of daily fluid intake usually comes from food and the rest from beverages. Students may also meet the admission requirements by fulfilling one of the following requirements: These documents are issued by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academies of Sciences Engineering and Medicine. The Food and Nutrition Council deals with issues of safety, quality and adequacy of food supply; establishes principles and guidelines for adequate dietary intake; and makes authoritative judgments on the relationships between food intake, nutrition and health. Review the basic requirements for two-year and four-year degrees, as well as additional requirements for special programs. In Florida, the course number indicating a foreign language exemption is 0791920 and has the course title “Bright Futures Foreign Language Proficiency Waiver”. For a list of ways to document second language proficiency for a foreign language exemption, see the Florida Counseling for Future Education Handbook. If you meet the exemption requirements, we encourage you to work with your advisor to document the waiver on your transcript or by letter to the admissions office. In addition, we expect you to take additional academic courses beyond the minimum state requirements, especially in the areas of mathematics, science, and foreign languages.

These are the general conditions of admission. Students who do not meet these aptitude requirements may be selected individually before a final admission decision. Some programs of study have higher aptitude requirements. For your specific program requirements, please see ASU`s final research. The California High School Qualifying Examination and other high school equivalency diplomas are recognized as high school diplomas, but do not meet the competency and aptitude requirements for admission. Students must submit their diploma to prove high school graduation, but must also submit additional high school transcripts or SAT or ACT scores to meet the competency and course eligibility requirements for admission. NOTE: Simply meeting the minimum GOL requirements does not guarantee approval. Many GED recipients are encouraged to earn the Associate of Arts degree at a Florida public community college before moving on to USF. In addition to grade point average, test scores and course requirements, we consider several other factors when evaluating your application. The recommended intake of nutrients varies by age and sex and is called the recommended daily allowance (RDA) and adequate intake (AI). However, for supplement and food labels, a value is chosen for each nutrient called the Daily Value (DV).

A DV is often, but not always, similar to RDA or AI for this nutrient. DVs were developed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to help consumers determine the levels of various nutrients in a standard serving of food relative to their approximate requirements. The label actually provides the %DV, so you can see how much (as the percentage) a serving of the product contributes to achieving the DV. Additional points are also awarded for college courses used to meet UHC “a-g” requirements. However, no more than eight (8) additional points may be awarded to a candidate. The DRI Calculator for Health Professionals is an interactive tool for calculating daily nutritional recommendations for nutrition planning based on Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs) established by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. While this data represents up-to-date scientific evidence on nutrient requirements, individual requirements may be higher or lower than DRI recommendations. Applicants with disabilities apply for admission according to the same guidelines as all applicants. Applicants who are denied admission and wish to request a new examination due to a documented disability that a student believes may have affected grades, course selection, or standardized admission test results may appeal the admission decision by sending an appointment letter with the necessary official documents to the admissions office to prove that non-compliance with the standard admission requirements are directly related to a disability. In this nomination procedure, applicants may request the replacement of the university guidelines.

USF can only accept disability documents as part of the appeal process against an initial rejection decision or during the post-admission review of the development. Prior to this date, USF will return all disability documents to the applicant. The high school`s minimum requirements for admission to Penn State are listed below. These requirements apply to all students interested in graduating from Penn State. Depending on the type of applicant you are, you may also need to meet additional requirements. Please check all applicable requirements before applying. You may need to adjust your overall fluid intake based on several factors:* Some programs with higher requirements may require ACT/SAT scores or additional courses to meet the aptitude and/or competency requirements of the course. Keep in mind that passing one of these exams does not eliminate high school course requirements or grades and test requirements. Alternatively, enrollment and successful completion of 24 semester credits with a minimum GPA of 2.75 through earned admission, or completion of 24 or more college credits from a regionally accredited college or university with at least 2.50 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale may be used to meet admission requirements.
